Review on Nikon D3100 DSLR Camera Body (Kit Box) - No Lens Included, International Version with No Warranty by Hemant Negi ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I like the product, the quality didn't let me down.

In any case, it will shoot better than any soap dish, even if the soap dish is more expensive. 1) Among the entry-level DSLRs, it seemed to me, by and large, D90, D3100, D3200, D5100, etc. they shoot about the same)) It makes sense to spend more money on DX cameras only if you want to buy a D7000 and higher. 2) In terms of ease of use - the d3100 can be forgiven for the inconvenience of grip and the need to climb into the menu, due to its weight and size, it is smaller and lighter than all other devices. (D90 is tens or hundreds of times more comfortable, but larger and heavier) 3) There are semi-automatic modes, the machine is tolerable. 4) Can write video, the video is good, autofocus works during the video. 5) The whale lens is normal, without claims for anything. Nikon's! the whale lens is still a lens, i. E. more than enough for good shots. For video, a stabilizer (VR) is desirable! 6) It makes sense to take a Nikkor 50 f / 1.8G instead of a whale lens, but the convenience will be as if the whale lens is jammed at maximum zoom. The image quality of the 3100 with 50 f / 1.8G will be better than any camera with zoom optics with a budget of 50-70 )) 7) There is no screwdriver in this device, as a result, all optics without a built-in autofocus motor will only focus on it manually. Optics with a built-in motor (for Nikkor lenses with ind. AF-S) will focus on it in automatic mode, but it is more expensive 8) There are so many megapixels. The resolution of a zoom lens comparable in price to a camera is still not enough to cover a larger number of pixels. For a D800 with good optics, a large number of megapixels matters. In amateur cameras, the fewer megapixels, the better and clearer it shoots (the D7100 is a controversial exception to the rule)

Pros
  • Price, size, weight. (if you wind a fix of 35 or 50 mm, it turns out to be the size of a soap dish)
Cons
  • DX, no screwdriver (only lenses with their own focus motor can be used)
