When I first started wearing Pandora bracelets - the real ones - I would pay $30 to $60 for a charm. There were fakes, they were great. So I rode it. For less than $9 if you only like ONE pearl pendant it's still a great deal. I paid $10-15 for a bead that wasn't the same quality as this one. Some beads will be duplicated, but that's not necessarily a bad thing! I haven't had a problem with them fading, but I don't wear my bracelet every day. If that bothers you, here's a tip: apply a VERY THIN coat of clear nail polish to the metal part. I highly recommend it.
