Conclusion: I have already bought these cartridges twice and will buy them again when the time comes. As with all generic products, once you find the right product that will work flawlessly with your device and not cause headaches such as I would only choose an alternative if the product is no longer available or if its value is falling. I would recommend it to anyone who has a compatible printer purchased in 2019. Hopefully these cars will be available for many years to come. Great product, it was just as easy to install as the original Brother cartridge. The printer recognized it immediately without hesitation. Print quality is good for everyday printing, toner is reasonably black and characters look crisp. How many pages can be printed from this cartridge remains to be seen; now about 80-90% of the toner is left after printing 500 standard text pages. While this may or may not be the correct estimate, everyday printing with these aftermarket cartridges is very affordable and great value. Update after 2 months of use: The first cartridge in the kit was enough for about 2000 text pages, the toner counter still showed 40%. but the prints have faded. I had to replace the cartridge (good thing it was a pair!) to restore clarity to the prints. Although the actual capacity of the cartridges is around 70% of that advertised, I still feel this product offers superior value compared to genuine cartridges. Update 8/5/20: I am already using the third cartridge. The printer reports that the total number of prints exceeds 4500 pages, 80% of the toner is available. This means that 2,000 pages per cartridge is a good estimate of capacity. Prints are crisp and have the same rich blacks as the original toner.
