Review on Cyxus Computer Blocking Eyestrain Transparent by Tim Jenkins

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Ideal if you look at the screen more than 8 hours a day! Super cute

I work 8-10 hours a day in front of the computer, then I go home and watch TV on my iPad/laptop so I'm literally sitting in front of the screen until 11-12 'o'clock. Hours per day! I've had contacts since I was 12 and I also have glasses but I only wear them occasionally or at night. I've found that as I get older I often rub my eyes after looking at the screen, especially at night. I don't think I had trouble sleeping after looking at the screen, but I did notice my eyes hurt. I heard about these "screen glasses" from a colleague and she swore by them. I thought it was only $20 why not! I've been using them for about 10 days now and I think there is a difference. My eyes don't feel as "stretched" - I don't know how else to describe it. But here's the catch, I changed one more thing. I switched most of my screens to night shift 24/7 (I have Mac products). There's no button to turn it on permanently, but you can end it at 6:59 and start at 7:00, for example. So there is literally a minute of normal blue light. I still wear these glasses on the night shift just to be extra careful the blue light doesn't hit my eyes. And if I look at the screen of a colleague who isn't on the night shift, then I'm already done with my screen glasses! So if you're thinking about getting those points, just try Night Shift for free first. (If your computer doesn't have it automatically in the settings, if you have a Windows computer you can download a free app called "F.lux"). Overall I'm very happy with these glasses - I love their frames! I wish I could get my regular glasses with this frame and have a built in screen lock so everything is in one place. And for $20, there isn't much financial risk.
