.like skinny jeans and spandex yoga pants.

The reality is like this. Like skinny jeans and spandex yoga pants, some things are just not meant to be worn by certain people. I have a large oval XL head. 23 5/8" circumference. I wanted a low profile, retro 3/4 helmet. I've tried Biltwell Bonanza, Bell 500, and Sick Lid's Retro. All well-made, high-quality helmets, but each one made me feel like an Apollo- Astronauts look. I almost gave up until I decided to try the Daytona 3/4 Cruiser. Depending on the brand, I usually wear either an XL or 2XL. I ordered both. I've found that most helmets are designed for round heads "Anyone who has an oval shape like me will mostly have an uncomfortable pressure point due to the padding on the forehead. Often the only way to solve this problem is to increase the size. In my case from XL to 2XL. Surprisingly fits the daytona xl very well if you knead the forehead pad a bit with your thumbs the 2xl was too big and shifted when i turned my head from left to right i kept the xl and returned the 2xl with no problems. The Daytona Cruiser is well-made, living up to its claimed low-profile design while still fitting comfortably. The ratcheting chin strap is a pleasure to use in place of the usual but cumbersome D-ring. I liked this helmet so much that I bought two.
