These are fleece lined leggings. I would NOT wear them in the summer or in hotter places. Anyway, I'm in the Northeastern United States and it's winter. You are perfect. She has had them for a few months now and they are still intact. They don't shrink in the wash and I didn't have any streaks. The fleece didn't roll either. Still smooth and comfortable months later. They stretch well so your child should wear them a lot. Her favorites are rainbow stripes, but she likes wearing all three. She said that she used to feel cold in jeans. She is sitting by the window and away from the heating at school. I bought her these leggings and she's not cold anymore. She returns home happy. I like this! They are true to size but are stretchy. If you are between sizes I would take the larger size and then just tuck in the waist to make it slimmer if needed.
