Covers are better than plain black ones.
The kit is ok, although I have already installed another kit. Installation is not for the faint of heart, wiring must be routed through the body of the trick and connected to the internal fuse box. Watch the video if you haven't done any electrical work before. Lantern covers are very easy to steal, someone took them off in the parking lot. I recommend that you "gently" tape them in place to deter theft. The chrome covers are very nice and better than the black ones.
