This is a great mirror for a dressing table or countertop. I wouldn't use it for travel. The faux leather front adds a touch of sophistication! The multiple mirrors inside mean you're equipped for whatever job you need to get done. The light has two settings and really helps to see makeup being applied. Insert batteries or use the included USB flash drive to power the flashlight. However, before pressing the center icon on the mirror, press the tiny black power button on the back. I thought my batteries were dead - they were spread out in 2 different sets - before realizing there was a tiny power button on the back! The item is sturdy and has a flat small area on the stand where you can hold tweezers or a pair of earrings. The mirror tilts so you can adjust the viewing angle. I think this mirror was a great deal and will be used every day!
