I purchased a 50D kit EF-S 18-200 3.6-5.6 IS about a month ago. A month later, I discovered that my 18-200 (which is an excellent lens, by the way) is not as crisp as I would like. Within a few weeks, I sold them and bought an EF 24-105 f/4L IS USM. Moving from 200 mm to 105 mm was challenging, of course, especially since I enjoy photographing reportage. Even if 24-70 is already too short (for me personally) and even without a stabilizer, I considered taking it. Nonetheless, 24-105 L is unquestionably superior, and the difference with 18-200 is unquestionably noticeable. I cherished this lens. I have only him.
