Offers versatility, functionality and performance for the price!

This is a very useful and versatile bridge camera for point and shoot enthusiasts and enthusiasts. It's similar to a full-size DSLR but slightly smaller. Its most outstanding feature is its amazing 50x zoom lens (equivalent to 1200mm), which can zoom in like an expensive telescope, bringing distant objects into the frame that are invisible to the naked eye. He is light. , Zeiss lens, image stabilization, fast autofocus and can be used in fully automatic mode or with manual adjustment of all major aperture functions, shutter speed, ISO, etc. The lens has an optical range of 24-1200mm. The digital zoom makes images a bit soft or grainy, but the digital zoom isn't really needed when the optical zoom goes from 50X to 1200mm. It records video at resolutions up to 1920 x 1080 and can capture HD photos while recording video. It lacks some of the features that its 30x predecessor (DSC-HX200) had, but makes up for it with a 50x zoom. And it works well with a smaller 1/2.3 sensor too. It has fixed lens and can't support interchangeable lens, but you don't need another lens with a range of 24-1200mm. I think this is a great camera for the money. If you want persuasion, read online reviews and watch Youtube videos. This camera combines the qualities of point-and-shoot and entry-level DSLRs. In low light you may need a tripod or a steady hand; In bright sunlight it's a breeze: sharp, crisp images, along with the ability to intentionally blur the background. I recommend the following companions with this HX300 camera: Sony VF-55MPAM lens protector; Sony NP-BX1/M8 Type X Li-ion Battery and/or Wasabi # KIT-BTR-NPBX1-LCH-NPBX1-01 Charger; and a Lowepro Adventura 120 camera bag lined in soft orange velor perfect for the HX300, with compartments for extra batteries, SD cards, lens cloth etc. ALSO: I found the HX300 instruction manual - great help is better than instruction, I think. Here is the link to download the MANUAL: [.]
