Ok but no 4k with laptop

As a USB hub and card reader for my phone and tablet it's fine but HDMI only supports 1080p30 with my 2021 Dell 5421 laptop and HP 27q monitor, so I end up using the HDMI port on the laptop itself, which isn't a big deal but makes it feel like I still have to connect something.
