The hat is so adorable! Because of the way it's made, it fits a wide range of head sizes and will still fit past the first two months. This blanket is the perfect size! It is large enough to perfectly swaddle even a large child. It's NOT so big that you end up with extra fabric that becomes bulky and uncomfortable. I've also used it to throw over a car seat to keep out light and rain and it's the perfect size, not as big as it will be on the floor but not so small that you have to constantly move it to make it it. Stay where you are. The quality of this blanket is amazing. The thickness is slightly thicker than other duvets of this type, but not so thick that it adds bulk or excessive warmth. The blanket is stretchy enough to be wrapped well, but due to the quality it does not stretch after use. It also has a very pleasant feel. The quality is the same as the hat, you don't have to constantly change position on the child, but not so tight that streaks appear when you take it off. Again I was impressed. Added bonus... The hat and blanket come in a cute reusable bag. It is ideal for storing a blanket and hat, as well as storing small toys as the child grows. When the package arrived, one of my preschoolers found an hour of fun using the bag as a gift bag, stuffing random items inside to give me "gifts." I would not hesitate to buy this blanket and hat again for myself or as a gift.
