My baby has complained about every tag on every underwear. They had a small tag but it was easy to cut out. Some types of underwear have the tag sewn onto the tape and cannot be easily removed. Also, an open elastic can be very annoying and they don't have an open elastic. So thankful for that! This underwear is thick and soft. The patterns are a bit young for an 8 year old but he loves the feel of them. I have ordered them 3 times because he loves them so much.
