I use mini backpacks as handbags. It's larger than my usual size, but it's still a small (not mini) backpack. Bought it especially for the holidays. The material is thick but very light. The straps are soft, ideal for hiking. The small zippered front pocket fits my iPhone 7 Plus just right. External side pockets for a 16 ounce water bottle. Inside Pockets: The 2 on the front flap are small so I put lip balm and a glass cleaning cloth inside. 1 large internal pocket on the back for small items like keys, folders, comb (this pocket has no zipper and that's the only change I would make). This still leaves plenty of room for wallets, checkbooks, oversized sunglasses, small groceries, etc. of any size. Love the size, weight and teal leaf design.
