For several years I have been using silicone holders for AirPods. I wanted something woven/cord like and it was a nominally priced item. Nice touches, but the metal links tend to transfer noise into the sleeves when they rattle. A bit cumbersome but I'll use them anyway as they work pretty well with my mods*. The problems with these designs are simple: when you use one, the other - hanging left - tends to pull down until the unused "sleeve" touches my stomach. So I took a very small metal ring and threaded the ends through it. So when I pull the right one up and put it in my ear, the ring keeps the left one from slipping down or off my neck.
