Works fine, just one wire, 2 wires is better.

This product is worth the money. Free hands are an important advantage. I really need a Motorola style headset for my mid band radios. This headset does not have the necessary unscrewing of the headphone tube and two separate wires from the plug. It has a long wire with a PTT switch in the middle. I need a connector with one wire to the PTT switch and another wire to the handset. I think this will help.
