I really like this lamp. It must have been the supplied halogen bulb and I'm a little worried the glass is getting so hot as is the metal part at the top of the lampshade which is what happened! So I went out and bought a 60w LED bulb, it's about the size of an incandescent bulb and works great and the glass and metal don't get hot! The whole lamp and base are heavy and appear to be very well made. I like that the power switch is on the cord. This is a beautiful Tiffany style atmospheric lamp that will create a beautiful atmosphere wherever you place it. the glass has been damaged or the upper metal part has disappeared.
