I actually use this piece to elevate my jewelry box on my dresser. The jewelry box weighs more than a typical laptop, but despite the extra weight, it seems to hold up. I love how the sides can be resized to different sizes to suit your needs. The product has a smooth surface and the color is the same as the product image. It was well packaged with clear instructions and a screwdriver for assembly (please note you will need to assemble this part yourself if the product description doesn't make it clear). I'm deducting a star because there were some oddities with the parts that came with the kit (the head of a screw was broken off, there were scratches on a few parts, small separators didn't fit properly). Overall, this isn't a bad buy and I would recommend everyone to look around for a large laptop stand that can hold all of their office supplies.
