I was surprised to see how this harness connects to the car belt system. All the other types I've had have had a big hole in the straps that you actually put the seat belt through yourself; This kept the dog from moving too much in the seat. I liked this aspect of the previous harnesses I've had as my small dogs used to want to jump in the back seat. With this Sofi harness, my little dog "played" enough to jump off the seat onto the floor and climb onto the top of the back seat, even when I shortened the webbing attached to the car seat belt. As she is older and has arthritis issues, I didn't like it. Also, the strap that attaches to the Sofi's seatbelt doesn't easily snap into place with the car's seatbelt without several tries. As a solution to all these problems, I thought of simply attaching the car seat belt through the double loop of the long belt. Plus it doesn't let them roam around too much and I don't have to fiddle with latching the seat belt. Otherwise great suspension.
