I ordered this before a vacation down to Cancun. With having very fair skin I wanted the maximum coverage of a sun hat without worrying it would blow away in the wind. The chin strap was perfect for me as my head as a little smaller than what would have fit the hat but I just used the chin strap and I didn't have to worry at all. I used this while I was laying out in the sun, as well as in the pool and the ocean and this hat held up marvelously. After I went into the ocean with the hat on there were some salt spots but they immediately came out in the wash once I got home! I would highly recommend this hat to anyone as I believe this could be used for a variety of reason.
