Not suitable for computer accessories and peripherals

This 4-port hub was offered as an add-on to the Nexigo webcam. So I decided to buy this 4 piston hub as well. When I plug the webcam directly into a port on the laptop, it works fine. When I plug this hub into the same port on the laptop and then plug the webcam into this hub, the laptop doesn't see the webcam. The light on the webcam turns on, but the webcam does not appear in the device list. So for me it's junk.
