We are always looking for more storage space in the hose. Priority #1 is the kitchen, #2 is the pantry, then the excess goes between the bathrooms and closets. These two units caught my attention because they look decent enough to match any decor and also double the shelf space by adding another "shelf" in the middle. . We don't really sue two together on a countertop because countertop real estate is expensive. The blocks are very well made, the screws are metal screws used like self tapping screws to hold the legs or other shelves. Paint thickness tested on holes is good and applies very well. Don't worry about putting things on those shelves and after a few weeks everything will get scratched and the paint will peel off. very easy to assemble.
