First I have to give Revain 5 stars for their super fast and reliable shipping service. I placed an order on the afternoon of 11/01/07 and received this camera on 12/01. Received in perfect condition without waiting. What a surprise to see this tool waiting for me while my bouncer handed it to me. ONLY 24 hours and I received it. I don't understand how it can go so fast. Back to the camera, the only not-so-great feature is the plastic feel throughout the body. But hey, with all those super zooms and full features plus the lowest price of the competition ie. Canon S3 is, Sony H5. What more can I ask for? That's why I said it's good for a beginner who has enough experience with a fully automatic camera but is hesitant to invest in a DSLR. and for those who need to learn more about manual controls before stepping into a more expensive professional camera. I'm studying at the moment. Yes, I still get blurry photos in manual mode (even with optical stabilization enabled). However, I can switch back to P mode (automatic) at any time to aim and shoot. It's more fun than just aiming and shooting. The price factor is the main reason I chose it, because of the 12x zoom, Leica lens, point and shoot, manual controls if you prefer, continuous video with sound, photos with sound recording and the 20 scenes. I have everything and am very happy with it. I ordered a 2GB Kingston Ultimate SD card (currently available on the Kingston website for only $44). do not miss! If you don't like reading the manual, you might not like it. If you don't like spending hours testing your footage, you might not like it. You might even get tired of the sophisticated features. That's all I can say about the FZ7.
