My parents' shower head was too old and rusty, it no longer delivered a steady stream of water. I ended up helping them find a new shower head and came across a few options. We ended up choosing this one because my mom and I really liked the sleek and modern look. The old one was quite round and bulky, but this one - when installed in the bathroom - really changed the overall look of the shower. So this shower ensemble consisted of many parts and details - a shower head, hooks, washers. , hand shower, etc. The instructions aren't really that simple, but we were able to get an overview after fiddling with the elements. After taking the old shower head apart we had to put in a washer and use the included teflon tape in the 3 way switch before connecting it to the pipe. We thought we applied it pretty well, but it dripped right after we turned on the water. No matter how much we adjusted the diverter, the water kept running. So we took it apart and found that the washing machine was broken. Fortunately, there are plenty of washers included in the package; We were more careful next time and Viola! Finally it worked. It also comes with a 3-position hand shower and a 5-foot hose. It seems quite solid and heavy, but I was a little skeptical about the adhesive mount that the shower is supposed to rest on. I'd suggest making sure you find a good position for the mount as I think if you put it back on the wall after you've put it on the first time it will lose its general stickiness. So far it's held up pretty well to the wall with no issues so I'm hoping it stays that way. The rain shower head is quite heavy and is held at an angle over the head when showering. Make sure it's plugged in properly as you don't want to risk it falling on your head. After installing everything I have to say it really makes the shower so modern and elegant. It really motivates me to take a shower and it's not even my own shower! Switching from a shower head to a manual shower head is very easy. The shower also has three modes, making it even more customizable for each user. I will say if the overhead shower was tilted so we could adjust the height over our heads etc that would be great. Apparently I didn't know it was a thing until I installed it. Our pipe is also gold but this shower is silver which I didn't take into account but who cares! So far it has worked amazingly, so I have to say that despite some bumps during installation, it's pretty amazing. Hope this item doesn't rust!
