Before purchasing this product, please make sure that your use case meets the following criteria: - You are connecting a DVI-D display to a DP++ output - Your DisplayPort output is actually DP++. If it doesn't say DP++ above it or on the product packaging, don't rely on it. The DP++ connector automatically detects the DVI-D connector via the passive adapter and converts the signal from DP to DVI-D itself. If it's not DP++, you'll need a more expensive active adapter to convert the signal. This creates a physical connection to a DP port, but contrary to the product description, no signal is transmitted from one. The cost is decent, but they haven't bothered to tell people what it can't do. If you don't connect to the DP++ port, mind your business elsewhere.
