I bought these a specific size and color and they are very close to what I was looking for. We live in an apartment and have sold our previous bedside tables because they took up too much space. There were great substitutes. They were pretty easy to put together, but I didn't like the fact that multiple assembly steps required more tools than the single wrench that came with the hardware. We needed a small mallet or mallet to insert the pins into the base plate and a screwdriver or drill to drive in the final screws and these screws were not pre-drilled holes or sockets so assembly required more work than you would get from the furniture you would expect must be assembled by yourself. That being said, we had those tools and the knowledge of how to use them, so it all worked out fine. But if you don't have these tools at home or don't know how to use them, putting them together can be frustrating. But once fitted we are very happy with how strong and durable they are, we bought two and they look great in our living room.
