My neighbor got 3 bites on his ankle. Everything makes them bark. Any loud noise, such as people crossing the street on the sidewalk, a door opening, bumping against a wall indoors, checking the mailbox on the porch, will scare them away even inside the house. They go crazy bouncing off the front room windows. With the ankle biters out, I couldn't sit on my porch or in the yard anymore because they just bark.
