I recently moved to another apartment and found that it didn't have air conditioning. Knowing I wouldn't get through the summer months without dropping the temperature, I found this air cooler on the internet. When I received it, I was immediately impressed. There are no blades, but the fan itself is quite powerful, and the air coming out can be very cold depending on the temperature of the water being poured (I recommend using cold water and an ice pack). It's quiet and at best you can hear the water pump running, which makes a soothing white noise. I've only had it on a bare minimum so far, and it works perfectly, and you can even tell the humidifier works in it. I can only imagine how cool the living room would be if it fits the bill. It was also easy to set up and has required very little maintenance so far. I highly recommend buying it, especially if the summer you're in is getting too unbearable.
