This wallet has a very strong, sickening chemical smell. Made in India which I wasn't aware of when ordering. Indian leather is notorious for being cheap and poorly tanned. I ride horses, so I have a lot of leather gear - boots, bridles, saddles, etc. It is well known among horse riders that Indian leather is of very poor quality. It used to be tanned with dung, so it smelled like dung when it got wet. I think they use some kind of chemical now. However, the chemical smell from this thing was so strong I could smell it even after washing my hands after holding it. I am NOT one of those hypersensitive people - in fact I have a poor sense of smell. I returned it.
