Revainrating 4 out of 5

Exactly what I needed, it's a great buy, I recommend it.

Because of my own personal experiences with the laptop, I've had to lower the rating. A perfect score of five stars if it weren't for that pesky issue with the screen.

Pros
  • All of the aforementioned qualities, including performance, portability, and low weight. You can derive aesthetic pleasure from working on it.
Cons
  • I could comment about the inconvenient placement of some keys in the 2022 layout here, but the reality is that this is a question of habit, and you rapidly become accustomed to the new arrangement. The screen has emerged as one of the game's most significant flaws for me. The Retina display is not ugly when it is functioning normally; rather, it is quite stunning. In my experience, though, he started behaving inappropriately out of the blue, which came as an unwelcome shock considering that I had just recently purchased the laptop a little over a month ago. What took place was that there was a business call conducted via Zoom, and at some point during the call, the screen started flickering on an area that was completely flat. Shortly after this, the color rendition changed drastically, and the white color that was in the background of all windows changed to a dirty milky color with a grayish tint. Additionally, overly pronounced shadow frames appeared in all application windows. In a nutshell, the once-beautiful screen of the Retina immediately changed into something that could be described as ugly. Throughout this period, we did not notice any other problems with the computer, and it continued to function normally. The problems persisted even after being restarted and turned on and off multiple times. I put the laptop away for the day with the intention of addressing everything later on. When I turned it on the following day, all of the problems had been fixed, and the screen was functioning normally once more. The exact identical incident took place once more one week later to the day. Now a new flaw has been introduced: artifacts in the form of ghost trails from windows that have already been closed or minimized have begun to show up. Everything discussed above remained consistent even after performing a reboot. The internal monitor and the external monitor both displayed the windows accurately. As I fumbled around on my PC while we were on Zoom, my interlocutor noticed that everything was in excellent condition. It was necessary for me to submit a request in writing to Apple's technical support, after which I was directed to a warranty service facility. I loaned them a laptop; now I must wait for a week and a half.

Got pros: Speed of operation, lack of cooling and, consequently, the need to clean the coolers Has cons: M1 does not allow you to install Windows through bootcamp, only through parallels, which is paid. The free version does not allow ates. pay attention to whom it is important
