I can tell you it's a lot less uncomfortable playing Wii games when I just have to turn on my Xbox One and Wii than fiddling with audio and video inputs and switches! I prefer a softer image than most, but I can say the colors look better than direct RCA/component (RS colors aren't as bright) and the image looks a bit sharper to my eyes (although obviously still is a soft image). honestly, I prefer). Anyway, not only does it allow me to use the Nintendo Wii with HDMI, it also feeds it into my switcher with video and stereo sound and there are no picture or sound issues. If you have a legacy AV source like retro gaming gear that you want to power over HDMI, this is a great inexpensive solution.
