Bought for my 6 year old who has outgrown his previous tap dances. The heel of these shoes is slightly higher than usual. My son asked to return them because they pierced the toe of his foot and the smoke is very harsh. He's used to a hard sole that flexes a bit like his dance teachers. He returned the shoes and instead took a pair of the same ones as his old ones.
