The thing is almost pretty good. The clamp is used to attach the device to a plastic microphone stand using a metal screw on one side of the clamp and a nut in a plastic housing on the other side. When I try to tighten the clamp on the microphone stand, the plastic clamp deforms. The clip is too small to fit around the wide base of a standard mic stand and only fits the thinner top. The iPad clip works great with iPhone or iPad Mini. It doesn't hold a full-size iPad. So if you want to put a full-size iPad on a mic stand, I don't recommend it. Microphone stand, maybe this is something for you.
