When attempting to remove the clips, be sure to support the base of the clip and gently pry on it with your fingernails. I wouldn't recommend ripping it apart as can be done with stronger clips on button down shirts. As long as you treat this chic belt like a fragile suit accessory, it will serve you well on many occasions. I'm 5ft 8in, 135lbs and ordered a medium size.
