Review on ☕ Bene Casa Black Espresso Coffee Maker with Transparent Carafe: Fast Brewing for 3 Cups, Cool-touch Handle & Auto Shut Off by David Thornton

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Moka coffee is light, strong and moderately invigorating!

Makes a strong mug, slightly stronger than my homemade gas burner version. This may be due to the coffee grounds container, which holds a little more grounds; 3 cups (240 ml) at home. I'm adding the instructions below as it seems some were having trouble. Moka coffee makers are easy to use, but using a grind that is too fine will spoil your coffee. I use three different types of coffee as is common in my area, but your mileage may vary. They are available at most major grocery stores. Cafe La Llave Espresso Brick, 10 oz - good coffee Cafe Bustelo Espresso, 10 oz - good ground coffee Lavazza Caffe Espresso, 8 oz cans (pack of 2) - better Fill water just below the safety valve in the base. Filtered water is the best way to prevent mineral deposits. Pour the espresso into the coffee tank, but don't stuff or stuff it, instead slide something flat on top to remove excess coffee grounds. My coffee spoon has a long handle that does its job well. Throw the floor tank into the base. Screw on lightly at the top, not necessarily too tight. Put it on the base, turn it on and listen. When you see it fill up and hear the rush of the water, it's done. Turn off the device or remove it from the base and the switch will move to the off position. Pour and enjoy! Three years later: I still use it for my daily afternoon dose at work. Works great, often comments from other office workers about the aroma of the coffee. The only thing I wish my unit came with was a 1 cup adapter so I could take one shot instead of three. Well that doesn't detract from the great coffee he makes.

Pros
  • VIEW VOLUME: The transparent carafe makes this espresso machine look amazing and also allows you to see the entire brewing process as the machine prepares the espresso.
