Review on 🔪 ZWILLING J. Henckels 39500-093 by John Clark

My brother had a set that he handpicked from the store but since I didn't have it in the local store decided I buy myself on amazon. Within 1-2 weeks one of the two glasses I ordered got a very small crack right where there is a thick roller on the rim of the glass. It continues to grow and the photos were taken after two months of crack propagation. The other one that came has a more even bead and has been fine for 2 months. I tried contacting the manufacturer through their website to see if I could send a picture and they would guarantee it and I still haven't had a response after a month. I think they say the items come in the mail but then I could get another $10 for shipping plus $20 for the mug. It doesn't make sense since you can tell the crack is in the ball and they probably know it's a failure mechanism. These are amazing and tactile coffee or beer glasses but due to manufacturing differences I expect some of them to break. when you wash them in the dishwasher. Yes they recommend hand washing but if necessary I will buy other glasses. I also have family and a friend who washed them in dishwashers for years so I believe they either fail quickly or last as long as you don't drop them.
