It's easy to use, just plug in the USB and turn the knob on the lamp. The gooseneck bends easily and will hold the position you put it in. Brightness is good but could be better. Cons: The cover over the lens doesn't stay open if the lamp is tilted too far. The base is a little light, it is weighted but needs more weight or a bigger base. When you need to pull out the lamp, the base wobbles forward, it may fall off if you pull out too far. If it weren't for the little pads underneath it might not rock forward.
