This is a negative review and I think I have to return the item but this is a great company and product but it might be is not for you. I'm writing this as a favor for the company so they don't have to deal with the huge hassle of customers returning this huge item because they don't know exactly what they are getting. GOOD: - incredibly fast shipping! After I ordered it I was given an estimate for a week even though it was made by Amazon and I'm a top customer. but it was good. but the same evening I was told that my item would be delivered in two days. and the next day they said that the goods were sent! and then the same day it arrived! it was in a large box and had a fabric cube containing a large vacuum-packed bean bag. They did a fantastic job sending what was quite a heavy and bulky item - virtually no odour! There were many reviews complaining about the chemical smell and that bothered me. but from sniffing the original packaging to smelling it again after unpacking, it was completely chemical-free. it had a nice clean fabric smell, that's all. So if my experience is representative, you don't have to worry about smells. no matter whether you sit in the room or sit directly on it - no chemical smells. - really well designed! The stitching looks strong and when I rubbed it as instructed to fluff it up I had no doubt it would hold up for years to come. - excellent fabric material. a bit like fleece. I think they call it microfiber but it has a very soft fabric, fur-like fibers, is extremely soft and looks like it has good stain resistance. This is a very well made, comfortable product. BAD - it's big. very very big. more than you think. Do you know what thick garbage bags you use? Imagine 7 of them filled with jam sitting in your living room. The measurements aren't true because you can't imagine the volume of this thing's liner. Dimensions mean one thing when imagining something rigid. but filled with memory foam and it just expands and falls on the floor it's not what you think it is at all. The company is really doing themselves a disservice by not showing MANY reference photos. You don't know how tall the models sitting on the bags are. and the rooms in the photos are very large and without scale. The rooms in the pictures are either in the homes of the very wealthy or in "Hollywood" houses, which are absurdly large and most people cannot afford in real life. In YOUR house, this thing will take up a lot more space than you think. in my opinion - if you're thinking of using this in a basement or purpose built playroom then you're probably good to go. If you're thinking about it for the living room, I advise against it. it will not work. EDIT: I previously wrote that it was too hot, but after further sitting I think the temperature is ok. I think shredded memory foam holds heat very well. But the fabric and the fact that you're immersed and wrapped adds to the warm feeling I think. Also, I had to move, lift and reposition the bag to get a good sitting position initially and I think that effort caused me to get hot and misalign it with the bag. after more sitting, I did feel a little hot at times, but the heat seemed to dissipate and I didn't start sweating. YMMV.- very light - when unpacking the outside of the remains of foam shavings. A little. but not very clean either. a few sheets of lint remover will do. No wow what a deal. but thought I'd mention it in case you need something pristine out of the box. As I said, fluff foil or vacuum and you're good to go. - how should I send this back?! because it's such a big stain and not holding me up or supporting me like I was hoping it wasn't going to work for me. Now I have to figure out how to send this back to her. Someone said you could try using some garbage bags. i think i will try that. But holy cow, it's going to be a tedious mess for me to ship back, for UPS to carry (again, now in a looser or more cumbersome form), and for Amazon and the retailer to take care of themselves. I feel very sorry for Amazon and retailers. If there was a more detailed review telling me what I've learned from personal experience, I wouldn't put it through yourselves. In any case, this is the service I hope by writing this review. EDIT: Actually, after spending a few more hours on the beanbag, the shredded foam doesn't seem to hold heat very well. I think my attempts to inflate and move it just cheered me on and I attributed it to the bag. Also, any warmth I feel is more dependent on the fabric and the bean bag just completely envelops you. Although it feels a bit warm at times, I find that I don't start to sweat from contact with it.
