Review on BrexLink USB A to USB A 3.0 Cable 2 Pack - 6.6ft+6.6ft - Male to Male Compatible with Devices - Black by Tom Roberts

I bought these cables to cut them in half and make my own cable. I was very impressed with the quality when I cut them. The fabric cover is high quality and appears to be quite abrasion resistant - the nylon melts under the heat gun leaving a nice clean working edge. Underneath the fabric is a durable yet flexible jacket. Under the shell is a fully foiled screen. Inside the shield are the USB power cables, which appear to be high quality #22 stranded red and gray, USB data cables (stranded #28 green and white). more shielded foil pairs with ground wires. Pairs #28 are purple-orange and #28 are yellow and blue. These lines are not connected inside the USB port. My guess is that the manufacturer uses the same bulky cable for other products, so the extra wires in the cable serve to add strength to the cable and as padding. The "B" USB connectors appear to be solid. and have a good flexible boot. If all suppliers cables are built to this standard I will use their cables for everything.
