Bought two of these to replace one that fell apart after 20 years (seriously!) of home use. What a relief to have her back! I just finished three loads of laundry. My clothes aren't wrinkled and my back doesn't hurt. These little guys make laundry day a breeze. Before returning to Rubbermaid, I tried folding the laundry baskets to free up closet space. With two different brands, the seam between rubber or silicone and hard plastic dissolved within a few months. To use less plastic, I then tried cotton rope baskets. They attract dust and weigh a ton. For those using a shared washer and dryer, they will be too bulky; and no matter how carefully you laid out your clothes, they were wrinkled and torn. (I'm lucky enough to now have my own W&D.) I've looked everywhere for an affordable solution that's attractive or easy to store and I've found baskets that cling to clothes, everything they were made of falling let no reinforced handles had flexible. and thin, and are MUCH more expensive! Nothing beats these affordable, durable and lightweight baskets that can easily be carried around the waist, over the shoulder or in front of you. I couldn't find this basket in my local big stores (strange) so I ordered two of these online. I figured it would be less wasteful to send two in a box instead of one. They arrived clean, neatly folded and wrapped in recycled paper. So glad they are back!
