These braces are awesome. I fractured my ankle over a year ago and am now in chronic pain due to a fractured talus and ligament inflammation. I had mild pain when walking and more pain when doing something more strenuous like running or exercising. This bandage eliminated almost all of that pain almost immediately. I had no pain whether I was walking or being active like running or playing racquetball. I stumbled three times and I know that without the brace I would have injured my ankle again. It took me a bit to figure out how tightly to tie/wrap it for maximum support without causing discomfort, so just experiment with it and eventually you'll be able to get it perfect in one go. One note: don't forget to take it off before bed. I accidentally fell asleep last night before removing the braces and woke up in the middle of the night with pain from reduced circulation. All in all, these braces are a lifesaver and my most valuable purchase.
