I have just received this watch strap and I like it very much. I've read comments that said the strap is thin leather over a plastic/silicone strip. and I assumed it was because the sides look "plastic". But I didn't mind as it looked great and was very flexible and comfortable. However, I decided to stumble across the strap as it was too long for my wrist size and surprisingly no one said it was thin leather and not plastic. NOT RIGHT. If you cut it open you will see two layers of hard skin. Apparently they put some kind of slick plastic on the sides to keep the skin from wearing away, but that's about it. I am very happy with this harness in terms of looks, quality, comfort and price. And I will be ordering a few more in other colors.
