As an avid sunset runner, I use my blinker to be seen. I have used Nathan Strobe in the past. Looking at the description they say the HyperBrite delivers more lumens so I bought it as the price difference was negligible. However, in use the HyperBrite did not produce an even light and was brighter as it has convex plastic lenses on all bulbs which focus the light a bit more but also create areas of shadow. I find it might be a bit noticeable to oncoming runners (not sure about cars), but for me it doesn't light my path when running through dark areas (where I have to dodge a root or the occasional puddle). I prefer the Nathan Strobe light which does the job although the lighting is minimal. I have now bought a new Orion Strobe (later R/W) but have not used it yet.
