We bought this to make ziplining at home. In our research, we required 3/16 wire that has a 7 by 19 construction to achieve the best size and strength. We decided that 250 feet would be the best value for this length and would allow us to do one really long zip line or more than one. The wire worked great, supported users over 200 pounds, and slid well in our pulley machine. We were able to cut it with wire cutters and bolt cutters without much pressure (bolt cutters didn't work but helped us). We twisted it back to tighten the ends with a cable clamp and thimble that held up well. The wire is thin enough to easily fit the clamp and thimble system. It seemed to us to be a quality wire that worked well for our purposes. I would recommend it to anyone debating what size to use for a zip line.
