Well, I've heard of magnets for healing, but I instinctively knew you couldn't just run and grab some magnets and start hitting yourself with them. They appear to be oriented in a specific way - meaning that a certain "polarity" and "Gaussian" must face the skin. The manufacturers of this knee pad claim that all this is already considered and configured in this product. I decided to give it a try because my right knee was killing me! I drive trucks so my poor right foot is confined to a small space between the seat bottom and the gas pedal 6 hours a day! I can't position it so that my leg is straight and my tendons break. and it felt like someone was digging into my kneecap! um I was desperate for help but wanted to avoid surgery. The only thing these butchers can do is cut and chop. but they didn't cut my knee! So I decided to give this magnet pack a try after carefully researching about 10 others. I finally went with it and bought "small" because it said "knee length 18" and I'm 17. Received it, boxed it up and immediately regretted not getting the large one. it was quite tight, but then I noticed the knee felt better almost immediately - probably due to the compression effect. let it go and wait for the big one to come lol. I slept with him and I'll be damned if I don't feel much better by morning. Wow! After work it hurt again so I left it on for a day and night because I really felt the difference. After a week it felt weird - a different pain so I took it off. It stopped hurting, it got better. I'm still very careful about how I sit in this truck, but I don't have to carry it anymore. My knee feels good and I haven't been wearing a bandage for about 2 weeks. Since my knee size is right in between the two size options, min and max, I can still order a large just to have if I don't want it to be too tight, but I also keep a small one for that extra compression enable . But if I had to do it again – I would grow up. It may not work for everyone, but I'm here to say - it definitely worked for me! Negative - the Velcro goes all the way to the edge of the strap. So if you don't get it centered when tying it up, that velcro will feel like a razor scraping your skin. I'm considering trimming the velcro around the edge but I don't want to ruin it. In any case, this is a great product that does what it promises; but get "tall" if your not skinny or petite lol. I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 because it was too tight. :)
