Love color, hate varnish

After reading countless reviews and watching product demonstrations on YouTube, I decided to purchase Americana Decor Chalk Paint in multiple colors. After reading various information about protecting your paintwork on their website, I also decided to buy paint as maintaining the wax seemed more demanding than what I was looking for. i like color In fact, I mixed colors to get my own colors and they blended seamlessly. I was a bit intimidated by the different methods you can use to achieve different looks. I was planning on applying solid colors but after applying the first two coats I practiced dry cleaning the inside of the product and decided to move on. I really had to use two coats and I'm glad I decided to sand my piece even though I've read that I didn't need to. When I finished my project, the paint washed off my brushes and hands easily without much rubbing. I feel like I need to solve a problem I have with nail polish. Paint (and all paint videos) mention using a stain blocker if stain seeps into the paint while painting. I lightly sanded all my details. When I painted the furniture pieces there were no paint streaks or streaks. I actually did a mock test before painting to make sure it didn't bleed. Everything was perfect and I really liked the look of my furniture after the dry cleaning I did. until I put the paint on. As soon as I applied the Americana varnish, my piece turned brown. Some of the new paint (3 coats and 24 hours dry) is actually gone. And some corners have taken on a cracked appearance that wasn't there before. I've tried to make it as even as possible but it's still oddly dry with brown spots that look like I spilled coffee on new furniture I just painted. It dripped a bit onto the back and it actually peeled off very easily - almost like old glue so I'm really concerned about how much protection my piece will actually get from this and I'll probably paint his. One of my pieces survived, the other I'm not happy with and will probably redo WITHOUT varnish. The best advice I can give is that if you decide to restyle the item, either sand it completely to the point of no finish (despite all the instructions) or do a paint and varnish test. .
