These pants are exactly what I was looking for. comfortable, a bit big and lots of pockets in the right places. My waist is about 34/35 and I ordered 36 not knowing which is again a bit big. New, they're a little stiff since I first washed them and now they feel great. The material is not waterproof. I love the soft seats and knees. The knee area has a Velcro opening at the bottom of the knee to insert knee pads for extra protection. Before I bought these pants, no one could tell me what knee pads would fit in those holes. I took a chance and bought the cheapest standard floor or construction pads at Walmart for $4 and they fit the material perfectly, protecting the knee and staying in place in the knee area while walking. These pads are unaffected and of great value when hiking, hunting or camping. All in all, these pants are impact resistant and a life saver if you spend a lot of time in the woods. Not a big deal but I've added zippers for all the pockets which work better at night. You will love these pants.
