.not bad. It's well made and durable with a shiny chrome buckle. Stamped "Real Leather" on the bottom but I believe that means the split leather only and not the upper. The upper doesn't respond to tampering like leather, and at this price point it would be naïve to expect anything other than vinyl or polyurethane. I bought it because I wanted a pure gray not mixed with brown or any other shade you can get with real leather. I put some neutral shoe polish on it and polished almost dry. These silicone impregnated sponges for shoes and straps had a slight sheen, so I'm happy. It's not a flimsy little strap and I expect it to hold up fairly well and as it's a quick release type it won't be the only strap I wear the watch with; I am going to replace it with a very nice brown fullmosa strap which is actually leather. So if this gray band confuses me, everything is fine.
