Well, first there are these little white flakes between the tread and the skin (which you can see in the picture). Any attempt to remove these flakes basically renders unusable a 6 inch area around the lid where it becomes a speckled bubble (this was noticed on the first one). With the second, I tried to ditch the pesky white scales and just deal with them. But as you can see after a few tries, these were the best attempts at getting the lid to not bubble and sit flat. Of course, the area around the white scale also has a bubble. There's literally no way to smooth out the bubbles using any of the usual tricks, including trying to use the edge of the card to press on it while you're laying it down. Complete and absolute bullshit.
