Review on Men's Timex Expedition Grid Shock 50mm Watch by Cho Screeton

Easy to read, functional watch

I like this watch for its relative simplicity. It offers readability and a reasonable set of USEFUL features with fairly intuitive programming. The display is large and easy to read at a glance. As others have pointed out, it's large and the plastic screen is easily scratched. But I use a simple anti-scratch solution that I've used successfully for many years on various watches and devices with scratch-prone plastic displays. Namely, cover the display with a cutout of a transparent self-adhesive plastic film of the type used for laminating sheets of paper [reports, small signs, etc.] without using a heated laminating machine. In this case I cut out a 3 inch square, peeled off the protective backing, exposed the self-adhesive surface and applied it to the watch face, then used an Exacto knife to cut the plastic display very narrow and sharp end. Slowly wrap the laminate film around the watch glass to avoid trapping air bubbles. The watch's bezel forms a groove along the edge of the plastic glass, allowing the blade to be easily guided without cutting into the glass itself. Be slow and careful and you will be fine. If you're not satisfied on the first try, just peel and repeat. Typically I've found this to work very well for a couple of years [or more] and then you just take it off [no marks or damage to the lens] and repeat. The Indiglo display also works very well. Much luck.
